One of the things that I really enjoy doing is making my own acne home remedies out of easily available ingredients you would find in most kitchens and gardens.
Once they are done I will add the mixture into a jar and label them with cool names I have made for them, such as lemon surprise, or anything that comes to mind that sounds okay really.
By combining a few ingredients you can create home remedies that works wonders for your skin, costs very little, with no risk of it being discontinued.
The beauty of doing this is you never know what will work and what doesn’t work. It’s all about experimenting and seeing what works for you - because what works for one person will not always work for another. Once you find something that works you are golden.
Here are a few things that have worked for me to help give you ideas:
Strawberry Magic Salicylic Acid Face Mask
Step 1: Take 5-6 strawberries and mash up into a paste.
The strawberries have natural salicylic acid which will help to shed dead skin cells keeping the pores open.
Step 2: Add the juice from one lemon into the mixture and add around 50 ml of water. Adding water will dilute the lemon stopping it from irritating the skin.
The juice will help to lighten any acne marks and leave the skin with a nice glow.
Step 3: Add in a few teaspoons of honey to bring the mixture together. I prefer to use Manuka honey, however this is optional, and not essential.
Honey has many benefits which include anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory and anti-septic properties just to name a few, which are all good for the skin.
Step 4: Take your hand, get it into the mixture and rub it gently all over the facial area. Leave it on for around 15 minutes minimum before washing off with lukewarm water.
Will leave the skin looking and feeling refreshed, with a nice glow when used a couple times every week or two.
Green Clay Aloe Vera Green Machine Skin Soother
Step 1: Add around 1-2 tablespoons of green clay into a large bowl, with water.
Green clay has a pulling effect and will help to remove dirt as well as other impurities from deep within the pores.
Step 2: Slowly start mixing the ingredients while adding 5 tablespoons of aloe vera gel into the mix.
Aloe vera gel has a soothing effect and helps to calm down inflamed skin to name just a few benefits this amazing plant has.
Step 3: Keep mixing the ingredients until you get a smooth like consistency. To finish add some oil of your choice, I use Argan oil, but this is totally up to you.
Argan oil believe it or not helps to regulate oil production, as well as adding moisture to the skin.
Step 4: Take the mixture with your hands and slowly rub it over the facial area, making sure you evenly cover all the areas equally. Leave it on for 10-15 minutes before washing off with lukewarm water.
Your skin after using this will feel smooth, with less inflammation and redness, and look fresh. This is one of my favorite ones and also works well for most others who have used it. If you only want to try one of these, this is the one I would go for.
Anti Inflammatory Ice Vera
Step 1: Take a few ice cubes and add them into a bag, or ice bag if you have one. Hold the ice bag over an inflamed area.
Ice helps to decrease inflammation and redness.
Step 2: Add some aloe vera over the inflamed area and leave on for a good 30 minutes or longer.
The aloe vera helps to soothe the inflamed area and reduce redness.
Step 3: Wash off the aloe vera.
The inflamed area will be less inflamed with reduced redness, with the results getting better each time it’s used.
