Frequently Asked Questions

Why does the Mia cost 4-5 times more than the Olay Pro X?

The main reasons for this is because the Mia is better constructed, uses a charger rather than batteries, and the brand name also adds to the price in my opinion, since Clarisonic have become a powerhouse in producing the best of the best skin cleansing brushes. Other than that I don’t see any other reasons for the massive price difference.

What Does Each One Feel Like On The Skin?

The Mia has a more powerful motor and feel as if your getting a deep tissue cleanse. The Olay Pro X feels more like having a Swedish massage.

I personally have no preference to how each one feels on the skin. I have seen better results with Mia but not by much, and others in the family have actually had better results using the Pro X.

Which One Would You Recommend I Buy?

I really wish I could just give a straight answer to this questions and say buy this one, however I cannot as both models can give you equally as good results.

What I will say is if you are struggling with money and currently cannot afford the Mia then the Olay Pro X is the best alternative for the price you are going to get.

Charger Or Battery Operated?

For me the Mia wins big on this one as I find it much easier to charge the Mia every few days/weeks than needing to buy new batteries for the Pro X, which over time can add up to a big expense, especially since batteries are far from cheap.

Which One Is Better For Traveling?

Both are perfect for traveling as they are light, small and compact. If space is an absolute premium for you then the Olay Pro X is slightly smaller, as you can see by looking at the compassion chart above.

What Are The Biggest Differences Between Each Model?

The 2 biggest differences is that one uses a charger and the other uses AA batteries. The other one is the Mia gives a deeper cleanse meaning it is more effective at removing dead skin cells, dirt and make-up, were the Pro X gives a lighter cleanse which could make it better for users with very sensitive skin.

Does The Olay Pro X Have A Timer Like The Mia?

No, the Pro X does not have a timer.

Where Is The Best Place To Buy The Mia Or Pro X?

Amazon
The best place to buy these skin cleansing brushes is Amazon in my opinion. Not only do they offer the best prices 99% of the time but they are a trusted and well established brand, which is very important when buying anything online.

  1. Would you recommend using an electronic cleanser over just washing my face with hands and soap?

  2. Hey Kevin

I personally would as it has made a difference to my skin. However it really does depend on what skin type you have and what you want to achieve by using it.

Before using my Mia I had combination skin with acne. After using it my skin is less oily and my acne has improved.

If you have normal skin with no problems then I wouldn’t spend over $100 for a skin cleansing brush.

    Hope this helps

Any other questions you know were I am friend.

  3. I am having a hard time deciding between the Mia and the Pro X.

I have oily skin and I feel like I’ve tried everything to get rid of acne. I take medicine, wash my face twice a day, and use topical creams and gels. My question would be to a user of either of these products with similar conditions as me and which one you chose and why?

    Thank you

  4. Hey Madison

Both of the above are good, but I personally like the Clarisonic Mia, however that is pricey and the alternatives are still good.

If you are already using a lot of external products your cause of acne could be internal.

Maybe drinking a few cups of water per day and adding in foods such as greens, berries and good fat foods such as avocado may help more than trying different external products.

    Hope that helps.

P.s if you need any more detailed help you can use the contact form at any time, I will try and get back to you as quickly as I can.
